Nashvillez Weekendz
23 June 2009 by Mike JacksonGod bless all you sons o’ guns who came out to the Nashville and Murfreesboro shows this weekend. Both nights were hot, sweaty, rock and roll messes…..which we love. Hope you enjoyed it, too. Our next show is next Wednesday, July 1st at Young Ave. Deli with Modern Skirts from Athens, GA. They’re great, so come on out…we’ll both have plenty of songs to play. And we might even have apparel to hand out at the show for everyone to wear during the set! AAAArrrrrrrrgggghhhh! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Free Live Album
16 June 2009 by DarkhorseSo, before everyone turns back into a late 80’s New Yorker (see post below), you might want to download our free live album, and enjoy a few good minutes of music before you’re covered in orange goo.
Go to our BandCamp site here and click “Download Album” in the middle of the page. Hope you like it.
After the storm…ghostbusters?
14 June 2009 by Jamie RandolphDear God,
Please let this be the beginning of the orange, hate filled slime from Ghostbusters 2 entering our city, and please let Memphis turn into New York City from the late 80s. If you do not do this, I will pledge allegiance to Vigo Von Homburg Deutschendorf and my main objective will be to bring baby Oscar to the museum via “hell buggy”. Amen.
FAT
13 June 2009 by Jamie Randolphlately I have resembled a fat British caveman…this is common for Jamie Randolph. I “let myself go” until my beard looks like a squirrel fell asleep on my face, I have a vicious gut that can never have enough food in it….ever, and my supposed fashion mullet that was going to be a big hit sits under my British hat because it has gotten too long to style and now comes out the back of my hat and makes everyone uncomfortable. This goes on for a month until I realize what is happening and then I shave, get a haircut, diet, run, lose 15 pounds, repeat. I thought it would be hilarious if the storm blew (me) the fat British caveman away from where i work, but I continued to eat…..

lads and lassies-
29 April 2009 by Mike Jacksonwelcome to my brain.com! hope all is well. i know it’s been a while and i promised you things and then ran away to a private party for myself and my invisible tea-time bunnies. but, in the next week or so a new online home for us (DARKHORSE) is coming. one that will be filled with all sorts of lavish delights…..some of which you will be able to smell and taste through your computer monitor! how? you say?! i don’t know, but i signed up for both smell-o-vision and taste-o-vision through my local direct tv provider. hope everything goes smoothly with that. never waste a minute worrying about us or our armmies. we are self-sufficient and have plenty of forest creatures awaiting our commands. but…….and this is IMPORTANT!!!! never hesitate to contact us, if in fact, there is danger amongst our townsmen and townshens. CLUCK CLUCK YA’LL!!

crazy dream last night and other stuffs
11 April 2009 by Jamie Randolphokay so….
i had this dream that tori amos and teri hatcher were in isolation booths with a thick glass wall between them. they were being poisoned to death over a period of 8 hours by toxic gas. i was there, but not really, you know? like a spirit or a fly on the wall. anyway, i watched them go through the whole spectrum of emotions and then at the end i walked up to the glass from tori’s room and got teri’s attention to tell her, “it’s okay. i love you, mary.” then as i woke up this morning all i could think was Red Sun Ships, which is just gonna have to be a song title. anyway…i finally feel like the creative monster is waking up in me. i’ve felt dead-ish for a while now, but i think i’m about to squirt out a few songs and that’s always good. so weird. wish i was more of a method writer, but it just comes and goes as it pleases and i guess i just have to respect that. i will not be writing a song about the tori amos/teri hatcher dream although. maybe i should. it was so twin peaks though. i think if i start down that path i might never make it back. heading to Louisianna next week and then Ardent Sessions next Sunday. woohoo!! Darkhorse Charge!!
